This unit was purchased new, and has been operated in our commercial fleet based in Randleman, NC, for its entire life, and has been maintained by certified fleet mechanics. This bus is now being offered for sale.
It has an 8V92 Detroit Diesel engine last rebuilt on 5/15/99 by Covington Detroit Diesel in Greensboro, NC. The bus has accumulated 214,000 miles since then. The bus includes tires, has passenger seating for 47, and an automatic transmission.
The bus is in good running shape, and was just removed from service this month in preparation for sale. A small part of the floor over the rear wheels is soft, and will need to be replaced. This occurs from time to time in these units and the plywood decking over those wheels has to be replaced. Most of the rest of the bus is made of stainless steel, so it will last a very long time.
The bus has two A/C units. The primary A/C is augmented by a supplementary A/C system in the rear. A long history of maintenance records is available.
