Holiday is committed to ensuring the health and well-being of our employees and their families as well as our customers and guests. Therefore, we have developed a COVID-19 Exposure Prevention, Preparedness, and Response Plan to be implemented throughout the Company and at all of our facilities.
Management and all Supervisors must be familiar with this Plan and be ready to answer questions from employees, customers, and trade partners. All employees must always follow this Plan. This involves practicing good personal hygiene and workplace safety practices to prevent the spread of the virus. Management and Supervisors must encourage this same behavior from everyone.
Holiday has implemented various housekeeping, social distancing, and other best practices at our facilities. All employees must follow these directives. In addition, employees are expected to report to their managers or supervisors if they are experiencing signs or symptoms of COVID-19, as described below.
In addition to normal cleaning procedures, all frequent touch points within the bus have been wiped down with a disinfectant cleanser. Between each charter to be moved on a bus, as well as nightly on multi-day shuttles, a hospital grade anti-bacterial fogger will be used on the bus which allows the disinfectant to get into every crevice.
Drivers will routinely use a disinfectant cleaner to wipe down high touch areas. Antibacterial hand sanitizers have been installed on the bus entry door, and use is encouraged. The front row (4 seats) have been designated as “out of service” to allow for social distancing between the group and the driver. Additionally, a clear partition has been installed between the driver and the first row.
The purpose of personal protective equipment is primarily to protect your fellow passengers. When worn by all participants, the potential for spread of COVID, or other diseases, is greatly diminished. As such, all passengers are strongly recommended to wear face coverings while boarding and exiting the vehicle, when they may be in closer contact with each other, as well as while on the bus, in other group situations, or anywhere social distancing cannot be maintained.
For those travelling on our retail offerings sold via our catalog or website, face coverings are required to be worn at all times the group is assembled whether on the bus or at group events.
Drivers will wear face coverings while loading and unloading the bus, as well as at any time the driver is interacting directly with customers or employees. Our vehicles are designed to fully exchange the air every 5 minutes of operation. Additionally, the HVAC system is designed to cause the air movement to be directed from the passenger level to the floor, where it is gathered by return and evacuation ducting.
Any passenger or employee exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 should elect to stay at home in the interest of protecting everyone. Should someone become ill on a trip, they should anticipate the need for immediate quarantine to avoid passing the disease to others. No one exhibiting symptoms will be allowed to board the bus at any time.
For those travelling on our retail offerings, you will unfortunately not be able to continue on your trip and will need to seek medical attention.
As of the date of this publication, and subject to change, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) advise that People with COVID-19 have symptoms ranging from mild to severe illness. These symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus:

The CDC and OSHA have provided the following control and preventative guidance, regardless of exposure risk:
Holiday cares about health of our employees, customers and guests, which is the basis of this plan. Practical steps will be taken to assure your safety, but for best results, we all need to work together. Everyone at Holiday looks forward to the near future when COVID-19 will be behind us, and we may all return to normal. In the meantime, travel safely!
